The manufacturing of coins in Roman culture began in the 4th Century BC, so when you add a Roman coin to your private collection, you are truly adding a piece of ancient history. In fact, the very origin of the word “mint” came about when describing the manufacture of silver coins in 269 BC Rome near the temple of Juno Moneta – the goddess who became the personification of money.
