An Egyptian Hieroglyphic Shabti | Late Period, 664-332 BC

This is a pale blue glazed composition shabti. The figure has a wig that comes in three separate parts, a false beard, and a square base. Vertical hieroglyphic text to the lower body. A hairline crack can be seen just below the middle of the body, but it has been repaired.

Provenance: Purchased in 2020 from a London specialist auction. From an English private collection; acquired in the 1970s.
