A Roman Terracotta Oil Lamp | 3rd-4th century AD

This is a terracotta oil lamp with a short nozzle, a circular handle to the rear and a vine-leaf border for decoration. There are three distinct holes on the top and on the bottom of the lamp and you can see green patina. This lamp is in very good condition.

Provenance: Purchased in 2020 from a London specialist auction. Formerly the property of a North London collector; previously from an old collection formed in the 1980s.
