A Moche stirrup vessel in the form of a hook-billed bird | Peru c. 500-800 AD

This vessel takes the shape of a hook-billed bird and comes complete with a loop handle. The bird is glazed in red but is light brown in colour. The eye and beak are clearly defined. Expertly repaired from several original pieces with restoration over the breaklines and areas of resurfacing.  An attractive vessel in very good condition.
