A Shipwreck Song Dysasty Chinese Jarlet | c 12th-13th Century AD

A palm-sized Chinese Song Dynasty brown glazed squat jar, it has four low handles that are attached on the shoulder. The base of the jarlet does not have any paint or glaze on it. There is some patchy wear to some of the glaze, but otherwise, it is in good condition with hints of blue and green throughout the rest of the paintwork.

Provenance: Supplied with a Certificate of Authenticity from the Asian Treasure Corporation, Singapore, stating this jar was recovered from an unidentified Chinese trading vessel wreck in southeast Asia.
