This Greek Gnathia Ware Prochous has leaf-inspired decoration, with several geometric bands in white and orange. There appear to be some small chips throughout with patchy encrustation to the base of the piece. However, this is a fine example.

Provenance: From a Southampton based antique dealer. Previously from the estate of a deceased London collector. The collector, who worked as a buyer for Fortnum and Mason, Piccadilly, London, built up a fine collection of coins and antiquities purchased from leading London dealers.
