A Holy Land Oil Lamp | 5th-6th century AD

This is a terracotta oil lamp with a short nozzle. There is a lined pattern on the handle, with circular rings around the larger hole. Also, there are black markings on the surface of the lamp. The lamp has an overall beige colour and a lug handle is attached to the rear.

Provenance: Purchased in 2020 from a London specialist auction. Formerly the property of a North London collector; previously from an old collection formed in the 1980s.
