This Byzantine bronze reliquary cross features a clear image of the Virgin Mary with her hands upraised and includes an old LAPADA dealer label. It is in very good condition but there is a slight blue tinge across the whole cross.

The collector, who worked as a buyer for Fortnum and Mason, Piccadilly, London, built up a fine collection of coins and antiquities purchased from leading London dealers.
