A Roman Terracotta Oil Lamp | 3rd-4th century AD

There is a clear decorative pattern on the surface of this terracotta oil lamp. Black charing markings can be seen around the smaller hole and on the bottom side of the lamp, showing signs of use, overall it is in very good condition. A lug handle can be seen toward the rear of the piece.

Provenance: Purchased in 2020 from a London specialist auction. Formerly the property of a North London collector; previously from an old collection formed in the 1980s.
